I was thrilled when Morgan from Prim Event Studio invited me to photograph some holiday inspiration for La Tavola and BBJ. Morgan always creates incredible designs – pulling in different textures and unusual colors. For this shoot, she created an intimate four person Christmas tablescape with warm pops of green and a plethora of food she baked. Every piece was intentional and fit together so well!
The Christmas tablescape had a layered linen look. The first layer was a neutral linen that just peaked out below. On top, Morgan layered on a more delicate white linen with lace detailing. At each place setting, modern white plates nestled atop each other, flanked by modern black flatware. On each plate sat an embossed menu and a chartreuse velvet napkin tied up with a piece of green silk. Glasses with a slight ombre effect sat anticipating warm apple cider. Each guest sat in a brown bentwood chair. Behind the table a festive garland hung on the wall.
The versatile centerpiece by Amanda Vidmar added depth and texture to the Christmas tablescape. Her neutral designed centerpiece pulled this table together perfectly – so much dimension and depth!
Can you believe these desserts that Morgan made? How only are they beautiful, they are delicious – and vegan! Go find all of her recipes over at This Expansive Life. My favorite treat was the hummingbird cake.
Happy holidays to you all!
