Sarah and Jon’s Royal Crest Room wedding was so fun and so meaningful! This sweet couple has an amazing story and I’m honored that I get to share it with you today. Sarah and Jon met five years ago in Italy. She was studying abroad and Jon was backpacking. Oddly enough, they ended up in the same hostel. Sarah was placed in the wrong room – but it ended up being the best room because that is where she met Jon. They hit it off instantly and traveled together for the next six months while they were both in Europe.

They stayed in touch after they both traveled home (Sarah to America, Jon to Australia) and set up another two month trip to explore Australia and America together. Shortly after that, Sarah decided to move to Australia for the following year. In December of 2016 they decided to get married! Isn’t that an incredible story? To top it off, Jon is half Brazilian, half Australian and Sarah is British – so talk about a beautifully diverse couple with some incredible accents to top it off!

Together these two laugh constantly. They are trivia champions. Traveling is their passion (obviously…) – but they even love road trips and always stop at the tourist attractions along the way.

They had a Royal Crest Room wedding in St. Cloud, Florida. While the weather looked ominous, the clouds behaved for us throughout the day! Sarah was surrounded by her sisters and two close friends (one of whom officiated the wedding) who wore berry colored gowns and a gray suit. Jon’s childhood friends and his brother were his groomsmen – they were absolutely hilarious and had me cracking up throughout the day!

The reception space had travel details sprinkled throughout. The seating chart was a world map. Each table represented a city that was important to Sarah & Jon’s relationship. The guest book was a travel notebook where guests could leave advice for future trips. Toasts were given – each filled with laughter and some prompting tears. All of the guests tore up the dance floor into the evening. At the end of the night, Sarah and Jon escaped through a tunnel of bubbles! Now they’re permanently living over in Australia – talk about an adventure!

Jon and Sarah – you two are so, so sweet! Thank you for making me laugh throughout your day! You had the best energy and I can tell that you two are so excited to be married! I wish you the best on this next step of your journey.
