When Monica and Brad’s wedding came around I was filled with excitement and anticipation! They were getting married at Sweetwater Branch Inn, one of my favorite Gainesville venues. Thomas and I took the stairs to the top of the Mackenzie house where the girls were getting ready. Instantly, I saw Monica’s smiling face and her dress hanging from the rafters at the top of the ceiling. The thing about Monica is, she is always laughing. I adore that about her.
Monica’s mom helped her into her beautiful Lis Simon gown. I loved the illusion back and the delicate buttons. Her skirt had beautiful layers of silk.
Monica and Brad had their first look at the Thomas Center. The trees there are simply unbeatable – and let me tell you – the light was good to us! Once these two saw each other, the jokes and laughter never stopped. Brad has a way with witty, sarcastic humor, it lights Monica up. Such a beautiful relationship!
They said their vows next to the columns at Sweetwater Branch Inn. They were topped with greenery by Pranges Florist. The wedding party stood to the side, wearing blush pink dresses and navy blue suits.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour was enjoyed by all. Monica and Brad met with their guests and shared in the excitement of the day!
The reception included a poem toast from the maid of honor (that was a first for me – and I loved every line of it!) and a cake smash (that’s a win in my book). The dance floor was enjoyed by all of the guests before the night ended with an exit to a 1948 Rolls Royce. Talk about perfection!
Monica and Brad, thank you so much for including us in your wedding day! I’m sorry we couldn’t make a pit stop at the book fair, but I think I know how you’ll be spending your anniversary (the first year calls for paper, so I think you should totally make that happen). Your day was so gorgeous and we feel so grateful for you both! For stranger danger, we weren’t too bad, right? 😉 Hugs!
