I am so, so excited to share this session with you all today because it celebrates so many of my favorite things!

I adore Michelle and David – they are one of our favorite couples. Thomas and David actually introduced Michelle and I, and when we first met we clicked instantly and spent about 8 hours swapping stories and picking each other’s brains on all things photography. They are a husband and wife photography duo as well and I love having a close friend to share this crazy journey with.

Michelle and David just celebrated their FIVE year anniversary! Yes – 5 years! I think documenting stages of love is so important (and it is one reason that Thomas and I have our photos taken every year). Your love and relationship isn’t just about the engagement and the wedding day – it is about all of the days – even the little ones. So don’t be afraid to celebrate the big – and little – milestones along the way.

For their five year anniversary, we headed to Philippe Park – one of my favorite parks in the area. It has the perfect variety of backdrops! They brought along a few props and even read their vows from a journal that Michelle gave David on their first anniversary. It was absolutely perfect.

Michelle and David – thank you for asking us to celebrate this time of your marriage! It is always an incredible honor to document the love that others share, but it is even more special when it is other photographers. Absolutely adore you both and can’t wait for our next dinner date! Hugs!
