When Farah and Ryan’s first email hit my inbox, my heart did a cartwheel. Farah and Tyler were dead set on finding a film photographer in the area and they were getting married at the historic Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota. Talk about perfection!
When their day arrived, they had all of their friends and family along for the ride. Farah wore her hair in beautiful vintage curls. Her mom and sister helped her into her elaborate beaded gown in the Powel Crosley’s ship room.
Farah and Ryan did their first look on the second floor balcony – the way the held each other melted my heart.
The ceremony took place outside right along the water. Farah’s children walked her down the aisle and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. One of their close friends officiated the event and they exchanged personal vows. The ceremony concluded with a wine bottle ceremony. After they stated their vows, they folded them up, placed them in the wine box chest, and locked the box. They promised not to open the box until their ten year anniversary, or if at any point they were in a hard point with their relationship where they needed to remember what brought them to this day. I know that they’ll be celebrating their ten year anniversary with that bottle.
The storm clouds rolled in for a bit in the afternoon, but they didn’t let that dampen their party. The party (and all of the tables and chairs) moved inside the main entrance of Powel Crosley where everyone could enjoy dinner.
The evening flew by with dancing, toasts, and cake cutting. It was truly an evening filled with love. The full moon and twinkle lights poured light on the guests throughout the night.
Congratulations Farah and Ryan! I’m so thrilled for you both and this new chapter of your life! As many of your family mentioned on your wedding day – your love story has been written in the stars for decades and I can’t wait to see what the next decades have in store for you!
