January 17, 2019
2018 was quite a year for us (more on that in an upcoming blog post!). It felt like we were on “go, go, go” mode, but somehow time was standing still. For the last weekend of the year, we got to finish our year off with a bang. On Friday night we down to Santa Barbara. I have never explored southern California and I was blown away by the beauty – even in the dark. We pulled over at a rest stop and just looked out at the stars over the ocean. The next morning, we walked around Santa Barbara before the engagement session. It is such a charming town with Spanish vibes. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again! Taking Grace and Anthony’s engagement photos at Knapp’s Castle and Arroyo Burro Beach was the perfect way to close out our year!
Grace and Anthony have been together almost a decade! They went to high school together, but didn’t start dating until later in college after they reconnected. Although the distance has separated them this whole time (between college and residency) they have continued to grow together. These two love having a good time together – I could tell from the time we spent together that they have a shared sense of joy – whether it be going to Disney together or dancing the night away at a party.
Anthony proposed to Grace in Hawaii this past June after a 12 hour island tour. With a waterfall in the background, he got down on one knee and asked Grace to be his wife. Now, they’re busy planning their Casa Bella wedding in Sunol with Blushing Joy Events for this summer.
Anthony and Grace, thank you so much for being so easy to spend time with. We loved spending the weekend with you two – and so appreciate all of the effort you put in to making your photos special. We can’t wait to see you again this summer!
