About a month after Thomas and I packed up all of our belongings and U-hauled across the country, I saw on facebook that a familiar face from Florida was doing the exact same thing! Amy was a bridesmaid in one of our favorite weddings from 2014 and when I saw that she and her girlfriend Claire were moving across the country so that Amy could pursue her master’s degree I knew I had to reach out. I’m so thankful that we had the opportunity to get together and document this new stage of their life together! 

Claire and Amy met at their old job, where they were both teachers. Claire taught choir and Amy was the musical theatre teacher. They had both been itching to get out of Jacksonville, and after Amy received an invitation from one of the professors at San Jose State University it seemed like this was the opportunity they had been waiting for. 

I met them just after sunrise at Belgatos Park in Los Gatos. Together, we all climbed up a steep hill and started their session. I adored the way that these two just loved on each other. Even when I was changing a roll of film, I would glance up and see them in a bear hug or holding hands. Love is a beautiful thing and I’m so happy that I was able to document it for Claire and Amy!
