You guys – I’m struggling to describe this beauty in words. As if our first two styled shoots at the Kayla Barker Workshop weren’t enough – the wedding at Chateau St. Julien in Poiters, France just blew me out of the water.
I absolutely love the neutral color scheme here. I think it truly highlights the love between the couple – allowing them to be the focus but supporting their story in so many ways.
The chateau is a gorgeous backdrop and also acts as the inspiration. Notice how the chateau is on the invitation and the crest seen on the RSVP cards is also above the dining table? Those are the details I crave!
Mix in some Jimmy Choos, to die for flowers by Bows and Arrows, flawless hair and makeup by Patricia, a gorgeous dress designed by Tatyana, and having the whole thing styled by Stefanie Miles? Yup – this workshop was a dream come true. Thank you to the other vendors as well: Wedding Sparrow, Silk and Willow, Kodak, Bubblerock, Richard Photo Lab, Written Word Calligraphy, Posh Couture Rentals, and Paper Birch Designs.
In addition, the light streaming through that arch of trees at the end. My happy place!
Finally, I wanted to share the story of our amazing models – Brytny and Kylie.
Brytny had done some modeling in the past. About three years ago, she was asked to model at a workshop for photographers. It turns out, the day before the shoot, the male model backed out and the team was frantically trying to find a replacement. One of the photographer’s assistants reached out to his friend – Kylie. Kylie drove over three hours to the shoot after seeing Brytny’s photo (I mean – do you blame him?).
Brytny recalled being in the dressing room having her hair and makeup done. The light was streaming in from the front door, and she saw Kylie for the first time – the light creating a glow around him – and it took her breath away. Needless to say, they hit it off quite well and began dating shortly after.
